This role is created for increased needs of generating sales leads via contents users as well:
- Business and Management champion often require visiting and direct promotion to faculty and dept. leadership to gain scholarly support and even funding. Having a dedicated B&M champion focusing on Business schools and faculty is necessary for increasing the branding awareness, developing product ambassadors and driving sales of business and management products for further growth of revenue.
- This position is B&M champion to generate leads and opportunities with focus on B&M products by focusing on reaching and engaging faculty or end users.
- This role will focus at East or South China region and is expected to sell both independently and push other sales team to generate B&M sales.
- Build relationship with key faculty and explore partnership opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Focus on selling SBC, SAGE B&M Videos, Data Planet to faculty and under/post graduate students primarily in the regions.
- Contact, visit, demo and promote to faculty and subject Librarians
- Push other library sales to generate more sales opportunities and revenue of B&M products
- Following up on visits and updating timely
- Build up and enlarge faculty contacts in territories. This requires visiting faculty and doing follow ups with a total of such visits of 10 per week.
- Constant communication with field library sales in the respective region.
- Attend related academic conferences and may include setting up of a SAGE booth
- Updating sales visit reports and pipelines in Yammer and SalesForce.com
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
- Possess a Bachelor degree preferably in the area of business/Management
- Have 2~3 years of related sales experiences in a publishing industry
- Be an excellent communicator, with strong presentation skills
- Be well organized with ability to prioritize workloads and adhere to tight deadlines
- Self-driven, have a high level of initiative, and proven sales track record to faculty and students
- Be able to travel frequently and work independently without too much supervision
- Be a team player who is highly motivated to work under pressure
